The 2016 edition of my self-publishing guidebook, How I Sold 30,000 eBooks on Amazon’s Kindle, is now live and available as an e-book for Kindle, or in print. This is the book that I update every twelve to eighteen months. The new content includes current promotion sites that my colleagues and I have found to be effective as well as my inside scoop on the newest phase of my self-publishing journey—Kindle Scout.
Previous editions of this book have helped authors publish their work and connect with readers. I asked a few of these supportive souls to let me know what worked for them.
Carrie Green, author of ROSES ARE RED: A Collection of Short Stories
His book assisted me in figuring out what to do when ‘Free’ was no longer working for ROSES ARE RED and how to best prepare–there is a ton of preparation involved; from finding promotional sites, Twitter accounts, and Facebook pages to announce your discounted book; to setting up ads as well as determining the optimal time to participate–for launching a successful Amazon Countdown Deal. I’m now eyeballing the Kindle Scout program for my soon to be released novel. Thanks, Martin!
Dougie McHale, author of The Homecoming:
Martin doesn’t embark on a hard sell, he doesn’t have to, his advice is golden in an informative, easy to follow, step by step approach through the indy publishing process. His comments on how to run a countdown deal and use paid advertising were manna from heaven as they allowed me to focus on a strategy that was right for my budget and my book, The Homecoming.
Dawn Westmoreland, author of The Empowered Whistleblower: A Practical and Spiritual Path to Personal Power
After purchasing Martin Crosbie’s book, I learned how to share my story, teach others my HR tips, and found practical advice on getting on to podcasts to promote my work. My book, “The Empowered Whistleblower”: A Practical and Spiritual Path to Personal Power has helped me to land over 50 radio interviews and to be featured in eight magazines so far. Martin’s book is full of affordable ideas for self-publishing your own book. Thank you Martin!! You have played a positive role in my journey to becoming an anti-bullying author, speaker, coach, and HR consultant.
T Patrick Phelps author of Still Heartless
I first self-published my first book towards the end of 2014 and was dismayed by the sales results. … it wasn’t until I read Martin Crosbie’s book that things “clicked.” I immediately put several of Martin’s ideas into action, most especially looking at self-publishing as my own business, and the results have been fantastic.
My sixth book is scheduled for release on Amazon April 10, 2016 and, after employing several of Martin’s ideas, it has already sold more pre-order copies than my last two novels combined! When “Still Heartless” is released, it will already be in the Best Seller List for its genre!
Even after thousands of downloads the book maintains a 4.7 out of 5 average on Amazon.com. If you’ve previously purchased the e-book I’ve notifiedAmazon of the new content and I’m hopeful that they’ll do as they’ve done in previous years and alert readers who currently have the book on their Kindles. If you’re local to the Vancouver, BC area I do have print books available, or you can order directly through CreateSpace or Amazon. Please take the time to check out the professionally produced product from the authors mentioned above. And, thank you for your continued support, I do hope you find the content, especially the new content, worthy of your reading time.
