All Good Men Must Fall

Final draft of new cover.
I’m extremely grateful that so many of you have stuck with me since My Temporary Life was released in 2011. And many of you welcomed the sequel, My Name Is Hardly when I published it in 2012. And you waited patiently when I said the last book of the trilogy would be available soon. I’m happy to announce that “soon” is finally here. All Good Men Must Fall is book three of the My Temporary Life trilogy (to the left is a final draft of the cover). The book is written and currently going through beta reads. That means that critical readers are going through the work and will report back and let me know if it’s ready for the next stage or if changes are required. Once I make those (inevitable) changes I’ll send it off to my editor. She will perform her magic, I will make more revisions, and then I will have a decision to make. Either I’ll release the book immediately or I might choose a different channel. If I choose a different route this will delay the release, but only for a short time. Either way, I can tell you that All Good Men Must Fall will be available early in 2017. I promise.

A Seasonal Wish For You
On a personal note, I’m finding it difficult to figure out what happened to us this year. And by “us” I mean you, me, and the world as a whole.

I’m hiding behind my good-looking, much younger brother.
Hindsight will be a wonderful equalizer but right now it’s pretty confusing. I’ve never been one to try and force my opinion on others. I believe what I believe and I’ll see you on the other side. It’s been tempting this year, though, because to me common sense has been thrown out the window. For now, though, like most of you, I’m thankful that I have a warm, dry place to sleep and I have people around me who care.
Whether we’ve known each other for some time, or you’re a new friend, I’d like to wish you and yours peace and happiness over the holidays, into the new year, and always. Thank you for the difference you’ve made in my life by checking out and supporting my work. Your encouragement truly helps me continue.
Oh, and I’m about halfway through writing the sequel to Believing Again: A Tale of Two Christmases. The follow- up novel will be Believing Again: A Trip To Christmas Island. I’ll let you know when that becomes available. And, for those of you who have been kind enough to ask, yes, John Drake’s story will continue in the sequel to The Dead List: A John Drake Mystery in 2017.
Your friend,
Martin
